Roadmap / Planned Features / Wishlist: Some things go without saying. Not this, apparently. These are brainstorms. These are crazy nightmares of compatibility and views of a future that works entirely too well. These things will never happen. This page should be seen as an excercise for us all in humility. - create a feature that displays gigs within x miles of user's zipcode input
- gigs and venues get "Checked Out" too easily. Make links within gigCalendar effectively "Cancel" the Editor page before loading any new page
- add "Total gigsBooked:" field to gigManager and venueManager
- create "gigTotals" display module
- to include total gigsBooked per year, month, state, etc
- to include Most popular venue, Top 5 Venues Played, etc
- to include busiest month, busiest year, etc
- research "gigMiles" module (total miles travelled)
- research miles from last gig field
- research total miles travelled per year, month, state, etc
- research top 5 longest and shortest drives between gigs, etc
- create gigPoster module that dynamically creates a printable PDF poster of each gig with band's logo, date, time, and venu info
- create additional map sites (MSN, mapquest, etc) option in gigConfig for display module
- create iCal and vCal display option preference in gigConfig
- create Help content for every page
- research "Send Reminder" email feature (may require cron job support)
- research importing and exporting data from partner RSS streams (RSS Calendar, onlineGigs.com, etc) in gigConfig (may require cron job support)
- research providing partnered Venue databases (onlineGigs.com)
- countdown to next gig module
- PHP 5 compatibility to be completed previous to with Mambo Core's PHP 5 compliance (TBD)
- major expansion of the gigArchive:
- integration with Gallery (or Poney Gallery?) to promote picture archive cross-linking with gigCalendar based on date
- integration of a media manager (possibly MOSMedia Project?) to promote media archive cross-linking with gigCalendar based on date
- integration of a commenting/rating system (possibly AkoComment?) for archived gigs
