The Add/Edit Gig page is simply a form used to input all the information about a Gig. All of the fields are not required, but some are to enable certain features of GigCal. More information on these is provided below.
Toolbar Actions - Save: Saves the Gig and any changes that have been made.
- Cancel: Cancels creating a new Gig or editing an existing Gig. This button will discard all changes made.
- Help: Displays this page in a popup window.
Add/Edit Gig Information Fields Date The date of a Gig is required. The button next to the text box brings up a calendar allowing you to select the date. The calendar features a information bar at the bottom of it that displays a short description of the area that the mouse is hovering over. To select a date and continue editing the Gig, double click the desired date. Band It is required that you select a Band for the Gig. If you have more than one Band entered in the system, the Band field will be visible, allowing you to select one Band. If there is only one Band, it is assumed that all Gigs are for that Band, and therefore, this field is hidden from view. Venue A Venue is required for every Gig. This drop down menu contains all of the Venues set up on the GigVenue page. Only one Venue can be selected per Gig. To add a new Venue, click the link below the drop down menu. gigTime The time of a Gig is required. There is no set format for the input time, so 5:00 pm and 5 pm formats are allowed. You select AM or PM using the radio buttons to the right. Link to online ticket sales If you have a link to a website where users can buy tickets to the Gig, you can enter it in here. This field is not required. Cover Charge You can enter in the amount of tickets or the cover charge of the Gig in this field. Notes This allows you to add any extra information you may want about the show. An example of use for this field would be to list any other bands or artist playing the Gig. Access Level This specifies who can see the Gig. You can select Public (everyone), Registered (signed in users only), or Special (admins only).
