Hi I was just wondering how this was coming along as I have a deadline for a site which is fast approaching and would love to use this feature if not I'll have to do my own modification which isn't that good.

Cheers.

I'm planning on an inteface like Marcus Williams suggested. Also, since there really will not be any extra fields, there won't be any place to store starting times. I'd suggest that if those are needed, they should go in the notes/info field of the gig.

Hi glad you liked my suggestion and are going to use it. Will you be making so that a more than 4 bands can be added it's just alot of people on here seem to think more than that is a mini festival but I will be using this for a venue which has 3 rooms and in one night we can have around 10 acts on in one night.

Cheers

I agree, as a venue we do not publish start times for the bands as it can result in people just turning up to see the main act.

For my purposes 4 would not be enough as I am using this for a nightclub and the line up can sometimes be as many as 10 acts.

One way that would be good, if possible, is something like the way you add images in content. On the left you have your list of bands which you can hightlight then click the arrow to add, then the bands would be displayed in the order they are added. Hope that makes sense.

Here is a pic of what I mean

Hi

I would also be interested in testing this for you as it's a feature I desperately require for a new website I'm building.

Cheers

That work great for me but then I got another error:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected ')' in e:\Domains\the-plug.co.uk\wwwroot\new\administrator\components\com_gigcal\gigmanager.php on line 52

In gigmanger.php starting at line 52

Code:
$gigmanager_sort = $mainframe->getUserStateFromRequest( 'gigmanager_sort', 'gigmanager_sort', 'g.gigdate' ) );
$gigmanagersearch = $mainframe->getUserStateFromRequest( 'gigmanagersearch', 'gigmanagersearch', '' ) );
$venuefilter_id = $mainframe->getUserStateFromRequest( 'venuefilter_id', 'venuefilter_id', '' ) );
$bandfilter_id = $mainframe->getUserStateFromRequest( 'bandfilter_id', 'bandfilter_id', '' ) );

which should be

Code:
$gigmanager_sort = $mainframe->getUserStateFromRequest( 'gigmanager_sort', 'gigmanager_sort', 'g.gigdate' );
$gigmanagersearch = $mainframe->getUserStateFromRequest( 'gigmanagersearch', 'gigmanagersearch', '' );
$venuefilter_id = $mainframe->getUserStateFromRequest( 'venuefilter_id', 'venuefilter_id', '' );
$bandfilter_id = $mainframe->getUserStateFromRequest( 'bandfilter_id', 'bandfilter_id', '' );

Basically there were too many ) at the end of each line.

Cheers

Is there any update on when the mutiple bands feature will be available. It just that this is the only component that comes anywhere near my needs but without mutiple bands per event it won't be anygood and unfortunately I don't have the knowledge to change it myself.

Thanks
