Glad to see this project is moving again.
I just installed 1.04 on a Joomla 1.5 test site.

Problem:
Data and settings imported from earlier version (problems with that in another post)
All gigs, venues, bands appear in calendars and in gig manager, everything seems to work.
In Gig manager I gigs appear in chrono order with oldest gig at top. I click "gigs" intending to re-sort and they all disappear - "no gigs found". Only way to get them back appears to be to import again.

The re-sort works fine with venues and with bands.

oh - a twist to the plot - I love a twist to the plot!

I was going to try adding a couple of gigs manually to see if the sort problem was still there or was possibly related to a corrupted import file. When I logged back in to Joomla Admin my gigs were back. When I tried to sort them they disappeared again and leaving gig-manager and doing other tasks and coming back to gig-manager did not make them reappear. But logging out of joomla admin and then logging back in made them appear again.
I tried sorting various other things - posts, etc, in Joomla and no problem. It's only gigs.

With the gigs "gone" I tried adding a new gig. The new gig form was populated with one of my previously existing gigs. I changed all the fields to a new gig and saved. Got the "gig saved" confirmation and "no gigs found" - still no list of gigs.

logged out of joomla, back in - gigs are all there plus the new one I created.

deleted all gigs, created 3 new ones
BTW - the new gig button does not work but the "add new gig" text link in gig manager does.
tried sorting new gigs by date - all disappear again so it's not my import file

additionally - for each new gig some fields are pre-populated with info from previous new gig - at least for the same session. Date, band, venue, info - that's all I used.

Let me know if there's a better way to communicate on issues. I'd like to get this working.

in gigmanager.php (administration/components/com-gigcal) there is an error in line 141 which seems to have solved my problem of disappearing gigs on sort by date:

Line 141 - url says gigtitle - should say gigdate
Replace
      <b><a href="index2.php?option=com_gigcal&act=gigmanager&gigmanager_sort=gigtitle<?php if($gigmanager_sort=='gigdate') echo ' desc';?>">Date</a></b>
With
      <b><a href="index2.php?option=com_gigcal&act=gigmanager&gigmanager_sort=gigdate<?php if($gigmanager_sort=='gigdate') echo ' desc';?>">Date</a></b>

I think that in line 130 there must be a way to add "DESC" to have the default sort be from most recent date but I don't know the syntax - it's different than it was in ver 1.02 where I was able to fix that.
